The system is uncomplicated. There is nothing you need to do on the inside. All the work is done underneath, not inside.
If there are plumber's thread (white) on the screw, remember to add it to the new lubbing cup screw too, if possible.

MY TIPS FOR MAINTENANCE
- Buy a multi pack to always have some on hand if they need a quick change over due to damage.
- Test the lubbers regularly to ensure the float is working well.
- Make sure the drinkers are positioned correctly so that water does not trickle onto the ground.
- Clean out the cups upside down using a clean cloth to clean out dirt and a flush of water. Pay attention to cleaning the float top and bottom.
- If any pins come loose, it's time to change it over.
- Keep out of direct sunlight.
- The drinker is as a clean as the water you put in so keep it fresh. Clean out well after worming solutions with a warm soapy wash.
